Overview

Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer, IES Automation successfully completed this new project for Lemonwood Grove School. Lemonwood Grove Primary School is a unique, state-of-the-ark construction that offers education and luxury inside and outside the building. IES partook in the early development of Lemonwood Grove in 2016, in addition to the original structure, we added a VRF system to provide comfort cooling in 2019. IES implemented a dedicated mechanical system with a under floor manifold, a main heating plant, AHU’s (Air Handling Units)’, a VRF, fresh air system, extraction fans, and a mechanical services control panel located in each of the Learning Hub’s, and in the Main Heat Pump Plant Room is the main mechanical services switchboard. Throughout the complex we installed Reliable Controls combined temperature/CO2 sensors(SST-CO2), if the CO2 level for a particular learning space rises above a preset value (set by the Ministry of Education guidelines) a red indication light adjacent to the sensor will illuminate. The switch plate that houses the light has engraved text that instructs the teachers to open the windows which allows the air to be replenished.

Project Summary

the-cube

This project was carried out with 75% of the building tenanted. Controls were upgraded floor by floor until equipment in the roof-top plantroom was strategically replaced. Systems included all fan and pump motors replaced and controlled by new VSDs, new chiller and boilers.

The BMS controls all VSDs via HLI which means the BMS is able to access a wide range of information directly from the VSD over a single cable. Energy monitoring in the building is handled by the BMS and includes electrical meters and gas metering.
